Ohio ASA State Championship - Shoot Information

Non-ASA Member Archers (Fun Shooters) welcome?

Yes, Fun Shooters are welcome. Cost will be $15, and you will get to experience an ASA Course with ASA Scoring. Registration Saturday is 8am to 1pm and Sunday is 8am to 9:30am. Sunday registration ends early because there will be a Shotgun Start around 10:30am which means everyone will be on their assigned target and start shooting at the same time around 10:30am.

ASA State Championship Archers

Must have an updated ASA Membership to shoot the State Championship
Must have shot a Qualifier or fall under paragraph B. C. D. in the Qualifying Procedures section listed below.

Registration Times-

Saturday 8am to 1pm No Shotgun Start on Saturday.
Sunday 8am to 9:30am - Sunday is a Shotgun Start. Start Shooting at 10:30am

ASA Championship Archers Can Preregister to speed up registration the day of the tournament.

Preregistration for the Ohio ASA Federation State Championship will be available to those who choose to use it. It is not required but it will hopefully speed up registration.
Here is how it will work, click on the link and fill out the form. We will print out your form and it will be available for you to make sure it is correct and then sign. You will then pay you entry fee and get your score cards.
Couple of things to keep in mind, this will allow us to verify that you are a current ASA member and your class before the shoot. If you register at the club you will need to stop at a verification person to verify your membership before you are able to pay your entry fee. Remember that you must be a valid ASA member to shoot the State Championship. if you have not renewed or signed up yet, please do so asap.

ASA State Championship Qualifying Procedures

ASA FEDERATION STATE CHAMPIONSHIP QUALIFYING PROCEDURES

A. Competitors in all classes must be current members of ASA to participate and to be eligible for awards at an ASA State Championship.

B. ASA Lifetime Members and/or family members are automatically qualified to compete in their ASA State Championship and any state bordering on their own.

C. All shooters eligible to participate in ASA State Championships will have qualified by shooting in at least one State Qualifier or in a designated Multi-State Qualifier for that state. State Qualifier Byes and all Youth and Eagle classes are exempt from qualifying in their State Championship only.

D. All Youth and Eagle Class competitors will be eligible at another ASA State Championship if they qualified themselves, or if one or more of their parents qualified in that state and are participating.

E. Semi-pro and Known 50 Classes may compete in ASA State Qualifiers and State Championships and qualify for the ASA Classic through the ASA Federation. Pro Class shooters are not eligible to qualify for the Classic.

F. Shooters may only compete in a class they qualified for, or in a higher class, at the ASA State Championship.

G. Shooters that qualify and compete in an ASA Federation State Championship, and those that receive State Championship Byes, will be qualified to shoot the ASA Pro/Am Classic.
